Spartanburg County deputies arrested a 28-year-old Wellford man Friday after he admitted to shaking his infant daughter and causing life-threatening brain damage, <a href="http://www.foxcarolina.com/story/19315225/deputies-baby-hospitalized-after-dad-shook-her-violently" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">FoxCarolina.com reports</a>.  Deputies arrived at James Davis Jr.'s home in Wellford at roughly 7 p.m., when he said his baby girl was struggling to breathe.  The girl was unresponsive when paramedics arrived and was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital. During the investigation, David admitted to violently shaking the child.  Davis is charged with child abuse causing great bodily injury. He is still in jail, with no bond.
