Whiskerz Pet Sitting Attends International Pet-Sitter Conference

Cathy Archer of Whiskerz Pet Sitting was one of nearly 200 professional pet sitters and industry experts from 25 U.S. states and Canada to attend Pet Sitters International’s 18th Quest for Excellence Convention, held September 21-24 in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Pet Sitters International (PSI) is the world’s largest educational association and PSI’s Quest is considered the professional pet-sitting industry’s top educational convention.

Whiskerz Pet Sitting’s attendance at this convention demonstrates a commitment to staying up-to-date on pet-care and business skills to provide the highest level of service to the company’s human and pet clients,” said Patti Moran, PSI president and pet-sitting industry founder.

The 2013 Quest for Excellence Convention offered attendees a wide range of educational opportunities, with general sessions and workshops led by pet-care veterans, trainers and pet-industry experts. Sessions covered a variety of topics, including pet first aid, puppy development, pet loss and hi-tech products for the pet industry.

Cathy Archer also participated in PSI’s annual Quest Charity Auction, which raised more than $15,000 to benefit the Stokes County Animal Shelter, a local shelter in desperate need of a new facility. Each year, the Quest Charity Auction proceeds are donated to a pet-related non-profit organization in the convention’s host city. To date, the annual event has raised more than $100,000 for pet-related organizations across the United States.
