Police: Botched Armed Robbery Caused Shooting
34-year-old Tamika Weatherspoon died at Greenville Memorial Hospital on Monday after 62-year-old Douglas Burgess died at the scene.

Both individuals who died on Monday morning as a result of a double shooting in Greer have been identified.
Greer police said the two deaths were related to an armed robbery.
Greenville County Deputy Coroner Kent Dill told WYFF 4 that 34-year-old Tamika Weatherspoon of Greer died during surgery, shortly after being airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Police arrived at the residence on Pelham Street on Monday morning and found Weatherspoon injured and 62-year-old Douglas Burgess shot to death. Police believe the incident occurred when Weatherspoon attempted to rob Burgess at his home. Burgess died at the scene.
According to Weatherspoon's Facebook page, she was a Byrnes High School graduate.
