Las Vegas Mass Shooting: Tennessee Man Killed During Concert Attack
A nurse from Paris, Tenn. was one of at least 50 people killed in the U.S.'s worst mass shooting Sunday, his wife confirmed.

LAS VEGAS, NV — A nurse from Paris, Tenn., is one of at least 50 people killed in Sunday's mass shooting at a Las Vegas country music festival, his wife confirmed on Facebook.
Sonny Melton, a 29-year-old nurse at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, was with his wife, Heather Gulish Melton, at the Route 91 Harvest Festival when 64-year-old Stephen Paddock of Mesquite, Nevada, began shooting from a 32nd-story window at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino into a crowd of thousands below watching a Jason Aldean performance.

Gulish Melton wrote on Facebook she lost her “true love and knight in shining armor."
In a statement to Nashville's Fox 17, Gulish Melton, who was not among the more than 400 injured, said her husband saved her life.
"At this point, I'm in complete disbelief and despair. I don't know what to say. Sonny was the most kind-hearted, loving man I have ever met. He saved my life and lost his," she told the station.
