Stock Up On Saturday: Booze Unavailable In TN For Next 2 Mondays
Need wine or liquor for those holiday parties? Make sure to hit the package store on Saturday.

NASHVILLE, TN -- There's lots to think about this time of year, but don't expect to get a last-minute bottle of wine or liquor just ahead of the holiday.
By law, Tennessee liquor stores are closed on Sundays and on certain holidays, including Christmas and New Year's Day. Both holidays fall on Monday this year - and, thus, both of their eves fall on Sunday - so the last chance to hit the liquor store - and the grocery for your wine needs - is the Saturday preceding.
Beer can still be purchased, of course, but the stronger stuff will require a little extra planning. Missouri is Tennessee's only border state that has statewide, off-premises liquor sales on Sunday; Kentucky, Georgia, Arkansas and Virginia allow it in some cases.
