1 Dead In Antioch Hotel Shooting
A 27-year-old man died in a shooting at a Murfreesboro Pike extended-stay hotel Tuesday night.

ANTIOCH, TN -- A 27-year-old man died after a shooting outside a Murfreesboro Pike hotel late Tuesday night.
Detectives found Dhargham Ateia inside a room at the InTown Suites on Murfreesboro Pike near Hamilton Crossing around 11:30 p.m. His brother reportedly told investigators Ateia was shot several times as he was walking across the extended-stay motel's parking lot.

Witnesses said they heard a dozen gunshots, but neither Ateia's brother nor the other people at the hotel had a description of the shooter.
The man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died. Ateia was serving a suspended sentence after a recent conviction on drug and gun charges.
