18-Year-Old Arrested In Elm Hill Shooting

Metro Police charged an 18-year-old in connection with a shooting at an Elm Hill Pike apartment complex that left a man injured.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police arrested an 18-year-old charged in Sunday's shooting outside an Elm Hill Pike apartment complex.

Ty'Ron Haynes, 18, is charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault in the shooting of a 19-year-old outside the Terrace Place apartments.

Detectives allege Haynes and others fired on the 19-year-old and his mother as they were pulling out to leave the apartment complex, hitting the 19-year-old and leaving him critically injured. His mother was not injured.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. Investigators are still working to identify the others who may have been involved.
