21-Year-Old Charged In 2016 South Nashville Murder
A 21-year-old is charged with first-degree murder in the death of a man found dead behind the wheel of his car in 2016.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 21-year-old is charged with the murder of a 30-year-old man found shot dead behind the wheel of his car in South Nashville in 2016.
The Davidson County grand jury indicted Kendra Shields with first-degree murder in the death of Omar Lindsey Nov. 4, 2016.

Police responded to an accident call at Southwood Apartments around on reports of a car that had crashed into a retaining wall. When they arrived they found Lindsey collapsed within feet of the car.
According to a police report, Lindsey was in the car with two other people when gun shots rang out and all three fled. The other two people escaped in a Dodge Charger, which was later found abandoned in the James Cayce Homes.

Detectives believe the shooting was part of a drug-related robbery.
