74-Year-Old Man Shot Dead Outside South Nashville Home
A 74-year-old died Thursday after he was shot while retrieving his trash cans outside his home south of downtown.
NASHVILLE, TN — A 74-year-old man was shot and killed outside his home south of downtown Thursday afternoon.
Metro Police say Ruxin Wang was retrieving his trash cans from the curb when shots were fired and he was killed around 4 p.m. Thursday.
Witnesses told police several young men, possibly juveniles, ran from the scene and into the nearby J.C. Napier Homes. They were wearing black hooded sweatshirts and khaki pants.

Investigators said they have "strong leads," but have not determined a motive or made an arrest.
