Bell Road Rock Attacks Resume
A woman said her truck was hit by a rock thrown from a passing car Oct. 10, marking at least 10 such incidents in the Bell Road area.

ANTIOCH, TN — After a respite of more than two weeks, it seems the rock-throwing attacks on Bell Road drivers have resumed.
Metro Police reported at least nine such attacks between late August and late September, but reports dropped off after increased publicity. A woman, though, told WKRN her truck was hit by a rock thrown from a passing car — a similar modus operandi to the earlier incidents — Oct. 10.
Kathryn Gorsuch told the station she was driving home around 1:30 a.m. when a rock hit her truck's hood, damaging it and cracking her windshield. She said she initially thought it was just falling debris until she read media reports detailing the other incidents and she realized it was likely thrown from a passing car.

“I cannot believe that people would purposely hurt other people. I know there’s a lot of bad people in the world, but it’s scary. I’m one of the lucky ones, very blessed that it didn’t go through the windshield or any other damage, but it’s very scary,” she told the station.
A community group, the members of which wish to remain anonymous, has posted a $5,000 reward for information in this case. That is in addition to a reward of up to $1,000 being offered by Crime Stoppers.
