Elm Hill Shooting: 2nd Teen Charged

Another 18-year-old was arrested for attempted murder in connection with a shooting outside of Elm Hill Pike apartment complex.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police arrested another 18-year-old Monday in connection with a shooting outside of an Elm Hill Pike apartment complex.

Police charged Joshua Malone with attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault after a shooting Jan. 21 in the shooting of a 19-year-old outside the Terrace Place apartments.

Detectives allege Malone and Ty'Ron Haynes fired on the 19-year-old and his mother as they were pulling out to leave the apartment complex, hitting the 19-year-old and leaving him critically injured. His mother was not injured.

Haynes was arrested last week.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. Detectives are working to determine if others were involved.
