Firefighter Injured Battling South Nashville Blaze
A Nashville firefighter incurred minor burns while battling a blaze at a home south of downtown early Monday.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A Nashville firefighter suffered burns while battling a blaze at a house south of downtown early Monday morning.
Crews were called to a fire on Claiborne Street around 3:30 Monday morning. The house was technically abandoned, though fire officials say a group of people who are homeless were living inside. They all escaped without injury.
Flames started spreading to a nearby home and a neighbor helped a man living there escape safely.

The firefighter, who was not immediately identified, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
There was no electricity running to the home which is owned by Claiborne Family of Faith Worship Center.
