Firefighters Fall Through Floor Battling South Nashville Blaze

Two Nashville firefighters fell through a floor while battling a house fire in South Nashville Wednesday.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A South Nashville house fire led to a scary situation for a pair of firefighters Wednesday morning.

A report of a car fire came in at 3 a.m. at a duplex on Tara Ann Court, but when Nashville Fire crews arrived, they discovered the home on fire. Two of the firefighters fell from the second floor to the first, not realizing the floor below them had burned through. Both are expected to be OK.

Nobody was in the half of the duplex that was burning and the people in the adjacent unit were able to escape without injury.
