Hoverboard Fire Damages Antioch Home

A charging hoverboard sparked a small fire at a home in Antioch Wednesday.

ANTIOCH, TN -- And you thought hoverboard fires were so 2015.

Nashville Fire officials say a charging hoverboard - technically, a "self-balancing scooter" - sparked a small fire at a home on Picadilly Road around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

There were no injuries and the family was not displaced, though there was some fairly serious damage to the carpet and flooring, along with general smoke damage.
