Man Shot Dead South Of Downtown Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 23-year-old man died in a shooting Sunday night on University Court south of downtown.

The victim, who has not been identified, was found on University Court near Carroll Street at 11 p.m. Sunday. He had been shot twice and was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The investigation is ongoing but police say they believe the crime scene is near where the victim was found.

No suspect information was available.
