Nashville Police Arrest Teen, 2 Adults In Gallatin Bump And Rob

Three people wanted for a bump-and-rob in Gallatin were arrested in Nashville.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police arrested three people wanted in Sumner County for a Monday bump-and-rob carjacking in Gallatin.

The woman told Gallatin Police she was hit from behind on State Route 109 in Gallatin and when she got out of her 2017 Toyota Camry to check the damage, the two people in the car that hit her jumped into the Camry and drove away.

Late Monday night, Metro Nashville officers spotted the Camry outside a home in the 3100 block of Stoneybrook Circle in Priest Lake. Officer said a half dozen "young persons" were standing near the vehicle and all ran when police approached. A 16-year-old was apprehended and police say he was carrying a .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol which had been reported stolen from a Maury County gun store. He also allegedly had the Gallatin victim's cell phone.

Tuesday, police arrested two other men - ages 18 and 20, at a motel on Brick Church Pike. Investigators say they found property from the Gallatin carjacking along with a semi-automatic pistol reported stolen from a Bowling Green, Ky. gun store.

The men were taken to Sumner County to be charged.
