South Nashville Kroger Drive-By Shooting Injures 2
An apparent drive-by shooting in the parking lot of a Thompson Lane Kroger sent two people to the hospital.

NASHVILLE, TN β An apparent drive-by shooting in the parking lot of a South Nashville grocery store injured two people Thursday.
Metro dispatchers received βmultiple callsβ reporting numerous gunshots around 1 p.m. near the Kroger on East Thompson Lane.
Metro Police said no victims were found at the scene but two people who were apparently injured in the shooting showed up a short time later at Southern Hills Medical Center. The extent of the injuries is unknown.

Photos from Fox 17 show police tape lining the property and a bullet-hole riddled car abandoned in the parking lot.
Cocaine was also found inside a car in the lot, police said.

Witnesses told police that the shots came from a SUV and were fired into a Chevrolet Malibu, leaving its tires flattened. Police are searching for the shooter.
