South Nashville Man Answers Knock, Gets Shot: Police
Metro Police continue to search for a man who knocked on the door at a South Nashville apartment and shot the man who answered.
NASHVILLE, TN -- A man was shot in the stomach when he answered the door at a South Nashville condo early Sunday.
Police were called to the Davenport Condominiums at 6 a.m. Sunday where a woman said she and her ex-boyfriend were inside when there was a knock at the door. When the man answered, the person on the other side shot him in the stomach.

Police found the condo's back door open and followed some footprints leading out of the back of the unit, bringing in K-9 units to assist with the search.
No other information was immediately available.
