South Nashville Popeye's Employee Pistol-Whipped In Robbery
Two men robbed a Popeye's in South Nashville late Wednesday, leaving a restaurant employee injured.

NASHVILLE, TN — A Popeye's employee was pistol-whipped during a robbery late Wednesday, according to Metro Police.
The employee was taking the trash from the Nolensville Pike restaurant around 11 p.m. when two suspects entered through a back door.
The employee was held at gunpoint, investigators said, and was forced to empty the safe and was then pistol-whipped. The suspects ran from the scene with the cash.

Little in the way of suspect descriptions were available except that the thieves are black men, one of whom was armed with a pistol.
