Stakeout, K9 Lead To Big South Nashville Pot Bust: Police
Metro Police say they found nearly 30 pounds of high-grade marijuana with the help of a K9 officer.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police seized 29 pounds of high-grade marijuana following a stakeout, traffic stop and a K9 officer's sniff of the air.
On Feb. 15, investigators were staking out a home on Melpar Drive watching for parcel deliveries. The officers allegedly spotted Nesuan Ibrahim receive a package and carry it to his carport and then put another package into the trunk of a car, which was driven away by a second man.
Officers followed the car and pulled it over for a traffic stop. A K9 officer accompanying the officers conducted a "free air sniff," according to an affidavit, and indicated there were drugs inside the car.

Indeed, police say they found 29 pounds of marijuana in the trunk, packed inside luggage and the box they reportedly say Ibrahim loading into the car.
The driver, Shinvar Abdullatif, was arrested, charged with felony drug offenses.

Ibrahim was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with a felony drug offense, posted bond and was released.
