Woman Shoots Man Allegedly Beating Her Roommate: Nashville Police
A man who had allegedly been assaulting his girlfriend was critically injured when his girlfriend's roommate shot him, police say.
ANTIOCH, TN -- A woman attempting to intervene in an alleged domestic assault of her roommate shot and critically injured a man at an Antioch apartment complex early Saturday afternoon.
Around 1 p.m. Saturday, a boyfriend and girlfriend were arguing at Cedar Pointe Apartments on Bell Road when the boyfriend allegedly began assaulting the girlfriend. The girlfriend's roommate then pulled out a handgun in an effort to stop the man from beating her roommate, according to police.
The boyfriend then allegedly came towards the roommate, who shot the man, investigators say.

The boyfriend was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is in critical condition.
