Woman Shot At Antioch Super 8

ANTIOCH, TN — A 26-year-old woman was shot early Friday morning during an apparent robbery attempt at an Antioch motel.

Police were called to the Super 8 on Bell Road around 1:30 Friday morning. The woman said a man who she had met previously knocked on the door of her third-floor room, brandished a handgun and demanded money.

As she ran, the man shot her in the hand. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical; her injuries are not life-threatening.

Police said the suspect, a black man last seen wearing a white shirt and black pants, fled the scene in a black SUV.
