Brentwood Eyes $20M Police Headquarters
Having outgrown its Maryland Way facility, Brentwood Police want a new $20 million headquarters on Heritage Way.

BRENTWOOD, TN -- For the first time in more than 30 years, Brentwood Police may get its own facility. The department is proposing a $20 million headquarters on Heritage Way.
The building will be the largest municipal construction project in city history.
Currently, the police are inside the main city office building on Maryland Way, leaving the department "landlocked" according to Chief Jeff Hughes, who noted, according to The Tennessean, that there are security risks associated with the co-location with other city departments, since officers often have to escort suspects through other city offices.
