Brentwood is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that Brentwood has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.

A few things to know:

  • For nature lovers, Brentwood has several beautiful parks and green spaces to explore. Crockett Park is a popular destination, with over 164 acres of rolling hills, walking trails and sports fields.
  • Brentwood is home to the Brentwood Library, which has a collection of over 165,000 books, DVDs and other materials. The library also hosts regular events, including book clubs, storytimes and author talks.
  • The city also has a strong sports community, with many residents participating in youth sports programs and adult leagues. Brentwood is home to several sports facilities, including the Maryland Farms YMCA and the Brentwood Family YMCA.
  • Brentwood is also known for its strong education system. The Williamson County School District, which serves Brentwood and other nearby communities, is consistently ranked as one of the top school districts in the state.
  • Finally, Brentwood has a rich history in the Civil War. The Battle of Brentwood, which took place in 1863, was a significant Union victory that helped secure control of Middle Tennessee.
