Helping Hands is a local non-profit that is making such a difference in the lives of children in the foster care system in Williamson County by donating duffle bags and hygiene items to DCS in Williamson County.

When children are placed in foster care in TN, their personal belongings are often placed in plastic garbage bags. This sends the message to these vulnerable kids that they are worthless…trash. The mission of Helping Hands is to provide attractive, heavy-duty duffle bags to DCS so that the personal effects of the children going into foster care can be gathered and handled respectfully. This demonstrates that the child is valuable and treasured.
