Begley was sitting on a porch in the courtyard where the young men had gathered. Witnesses told Metro Police that there were three or four men in the groups that squared off before the shooting and that the gunshots initially came from just one side. Begley was hit as she ran for cover, witnesses told investigators.
Police interviewed and then arrested Gordon-Jenkins Thursday afternoon. He is being held in juvenile detention.
