3 Arrested After Wild East Nashville Car Chase

After two men allegedly flashed handguns at MDHA security cameras, a rollicking police chase through East Nashville ensued.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Police arrested three men Thursday morning after a wild police chase through East Nashville.

Around 12:30 a.m., officers attempted to stop a Chevrolet Cruze after two men inside were allegedly seen waving handguns, including displaying the weapons to MDHA security cameras at the James Cayce Homes.

Officers tried to pull the Cruze over at Shelby Avenue, but the driver allegedly accelerated and sped on to Ellington Parkway. During the attempt to flee, the driver hit a curb, damaging a front tire and wheel.

Driving at a high speed on Ellington, sparks and smoke came from the damaged front-end. Eventually, the driver pulled off at the Hart Lane exit but the car stopped working when he tried to re-enter Ellington.

Officers surrounded the car and arrested the three people inside and also reportedly found two handguns.
