Body Found In Cumberland Near Shelby Park

NASHVILLE, TN -- Divers worked Tuesday evening to pull a body found in the Cumberland River near Shelby Park.

The Nashville Fire Department tweeted confirmation that a recovery effort was underway shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Neither the identity of the person nor the circumstances of their death were immediately released.

A Facebook group set-up to aid in the search for missing East Nashville man Tim Wilson said Tuesday that it was not his body pulled from the river.
