Detroit-Based Heroin Traffickers Arrested Near Goodlettsville Day Care: Police

Drug task force agents thwarted a Detroit-based heroin and pill trafficking ring near a Goodlettsville day care

GOODLETTSVILLE, TN — Four men at the center of a Detroit-based heroin and pill trafficking ring were arrested Tuesday near a Goodlettsville day care.

After months of surveillance, agents with a Sumner County drug task force and the Drug Enforcement Administration arrested the quartet when they saw them get into a car allegedly reported stolen out of Michigan.

Investigators say the men, all from the Detroit area, operate out of hotels and motels in Goodlettsville and Nashville, moving around the area selling their product. They arrested within 1000 feet of a day care center and North Creek Park, both drug-free zones.

When they searched the car, agents say they found 111 Oxymorphone pills, 12.5 grams of heroin and $5,000 in cash.

Devin Parker, Deon Garrett, Immanuel Garrett and Jayluan Culp all face multiple charges. Garrett is wanted for extradition back to Michigan.
