Donelson Robbery Bid Foiled By Employees
A clerk at a Donelson convenience store scuffled with a would-be thief, ending the robbery attempt, police say.

DONELSON, TN -- Two employees at a Donelson gas station stopped a pair of would-be thieves early Wednesday, according to Metro Police.
At 2 a.m., two men went into the Shell at Bell Road and Stewart's Ferry Pike, prepaying $5 for gas. After fueling up, one of the men came back inside and allegedly walked behind the counter, grabbing some cigarettes. The clerk confronted him and the two got into a scuffle, according to police.

The suspect ran from the store and was confronted in the parking lot by another employee. The suspect threatened to shoot that employee and then the pair drove away.
Neither employee saw a weapon on either man. No specific description of the suspects is available, though police said they did drive away in a silver Toyata sedan.
