Drunken East Nashville Man Elbows Officer: Metro Police
A 27-year-old East Nashville man elbowed a Metro police officer Wednesday, according to an affidavit.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A drunken East Nashville man threw an elbow and injured a Metro Police officer Wednesday, according to an arrest report.
MNPD officers patrolling the Fallbrook Apartments on Dellway Villa Road noticed 27-year-old Carlton Brown sitting alone inside a car. As they approached, according to an affidavit, Brown quickly exited the vehicle and began to walk away, refusing to stop or give the officers his identification.
Brown then "approached officers aggressively and began yelling and cursing," according to the report, which is when the officers noticed his "bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of alcohol."

As they attempted to arrest him for public intoxication and disorderly conduct, Brown allegedly elbowed one of the officers in the mouth, injuring him.
Brown is charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault of an officer.
