East Nashville Crash Knocks Out Power For 1,900
A two-car wreck caused a widespread power outage in East Nashville Tuesday night.

NASHVILLE, TN — Two cars crashed into a utility pole in East Nashville Tuesday night, knocking out power for more than 1,900 people for nearly two hours.
One person was hospitalized for minor injuries that damaged — though did not knock down — a utility pole at North Sixth Street and Cleveland Street shortly before 6 p.m.. At the peak of the outage, 1,924 Nashville Electric Service customers were without power.

By 7:45 p.m., power had been restored to all but a handful of those customers.
The pole was damaged significantly enough that needed replacement.
