Fake Teeth, True Crime: 2 Arrested For Donelson Denture Store Break-In
K-9 units helped Metro Police apprehend two men who broke into a Donelson denture store.

DONELSON, TN — Dogs with real teeth helped capture thieves trying to steal the profits from fake teeth in Donelson, according to Metro Police.
Officers responded to an alarm at Affordable Dentures and Implants when the business's back window was shattered around 12:30 Thursday morning. K-9 units tracked the suspects and human officers saw one of the suspect's feet hanging down from the ceiling.
When the men wouldn't surrender, the K-9 units pulled down one of them, according to police, and helped capture the other.

Investigators said the men stole some cash and "inventory" — presumably, false teeth — from the store.
Police believe the men may also be connected to recent break-ins at a furniture store and freight business in South Nashville, as well.

Drawers full of fake teeth are displayed in the denture lab at the Affordable Dentures lab on January 12, 2009 in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Statistics show that the number of people loosing all their teeth has declined 60 percent in the United States since 1960. The reduction is attributed to the program of fluoridation begun in the 1940s as well as education on proactive dental hygiene. (Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images)
