Goodlettsville Man Charged With Child Rape, Child Porn

GOODLETTSVILLE, TN -- A 32-year-old Goodlettsville man is accused of child rape and of uploading more than 300 images of child pornography.

Metro Police detectives went to the home of Michael Shawn Owens March 28 and though they say he was advised he wasn't under arrest and thus under no obligation to speak with them, he agreed to an interview anyway.

Investigators say Owens admitted to using an email address - which contained his name - to upload images to a Microsoft One Drive account. Detectives said they discovered more than 300 explicit images of children on the account.

Owens is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and rape of a child. No further details were immediately available.
