Hermitage Man Murdered; Playstation, Air Jordans Stolen

Metro Police said a 39-year-old man was shot dead during a burglary in which a Playstation and a pair of Air Jordans were stolen.

HERMITAGE, TN -- A 39-year-old man was murdered in his Hermitage home Monday during an apparent robbery in which a pair of shoes and a video game console were stolen, according to Metro Police.

Marvin Hughes' body was found in his Misty Cape Cove home by his school-age niece around 3:45 Monday afternoon. His home had been ransacked and a PlayStation and a pair of Air Jordans were stolen, according to police. It appears that the thief entered the home through an unlocked door.

A neighbor told investigators there was a loud "boom" that could have been a gunshot between 10 and 11 a.m.

Police asked anyone knowing of or seeing a person who came into the possession of Air Jordan shoes or a PlayStation console is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
