Kids OK After Mom's Car Stolen From Donelson Gas Station

Metro Police are searching for a pair of men who stole a car with three children inside early Saturday morning.

DONELSON, TN -- Two men stole a car with three sleeping children inside from a Donelson gas station early Saturday morning.

The children - ages 5, 6, and 10 - were asleep inside the car at a Mapco on Stewarts Ferry Pike when their mother went inside the station to pay for gas around 12:40 a.m. The mother left the keys in the ignition and the engine running and when she returned, her car - and children - were gone.

The woman immediately called police, who received another call about 20 minutes later reporting two men running away from an abandoned car. The children were inside and unharmed.
