Madison Man Attacks Roommates With Machete: Police
Two men awoke to find their roommate attacking them with a machete in Madison, according to police.
MADISON, TN -- Two Madison men woke up to a harrowing scene Tuesday night as they found their roommate coming at them with a machete, according to Metro Police.
The men told police that Mark Rigsby, 55, began to attack them with the weapon around 9:30 p.m. One of the roommates was cut several times before the other intervened. The men told investigators that Rigsby then threatened to kill them before fleeing the North Dupont Avenue residence.
Police found him in a nearby wooded area. Charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Rigsby is being held on a $6,000 bond. He has a previous conviction for aggravated assault after attacking his ex-girlfriend with a paint scraper in 2016.
