Madison Man Busted With 35,000 Pills, 2 Stolen Guns: Police

Metro Police arrested a 25-year-old, seizing thousands of pills shipped from Canada and two guns stolen from law enforcement.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 25-year-old Madison man for dealing tens of thousands of pills shipped from Canada into Nashville, according to Metro Police.

Following an investigation which also involved agents from Homeland Security and postal inspectors, Metro Police arrested Timothy Watkins and seized 35,600 Xanax and generic alprazolam pills and two stolen guns, according to an affidavit.

Investigators said Watkins admitted to selling the pills. The guns were reported stolen from a Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, according to police.

A search of Albee Drive home yielded 10 more bags of pills and four more stolen guns, detectives said.

Watkins is charged with possession of drugs for resale, unlawful gun possession and two counts of possession of stolen firearms. He is free on a $37,500 bond.
