Madison Man Shot, Critically Injured During Home Invasion
A man shot during a Madison home invasion is fighting for his life, according to Metro Police.
MADISON, TN -- A Madison man is in critical condition after being shot in the stomach during a home invasion early Thursday.
The man returned to his North Dupont Avenue home around 12:30 a.m. and a burgundy car pulled in behind him.
A masked suspect got out of the car, pulled a gun and tried to rob the man. He then shot the man twice in the stomach, according to police.

The victim was able to run inside and someone else in the house called 911. The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and his injuries are life-threatening.
The shooter left empty-handed; no description was immediately available.
