Man Found Shot Dead Near Cayce Homes
The body of a 39-year-old man was found in a tree line near the Martha O'Bryan Center near Cayce Homes Tuesday.
NASHVILLE, TN -- A 39-year-old man was found shot dead in a tree line near the Martha O'Bryan Center near the James Cayce Homes in East Nashville Tuesday afternoon.
Metro Police responded to a shots-fired call around 11:30 a.m., but could not find the crime scene. About an hour later, police received a call that a family member had found the body of Horace Whitley, 39, in the tree line.
Detectives are pursuing "strong leads" in the case and Whitley's cousin told NewsChannel 5 that he was "set up" and drawn to the bushes to be killed.
