Mississippi Man Carjacked In Music Valley

DONELSON, TN -- Three gunmen carjacked a Mississippi man outside of an Opryland-area hotel Saturday night.

Jake Glidewell told WKRN he was getting pillows for his 8-month-old out of his car parked at the Days Inn on Music Valley Drive when the trio approached him with a gun and told him to get out of the car or he'd be shot.

Glidewell said he had just put his own pistol in his jacket.

“I had the option to pull out my pistol and shoot, but at that point, it just would have been miniscule really. I thought of 20 scenarios within two seconds,” he said.

Metro Police are searching for the four-door 2009 silver Chevy Malibu with heavily tinted windows.

There were 10 reported carjackings in the first 20 days of 2018 in Davidson County.
