Old Hickory Fisherman Stabbed, Beaten, Robbed

An Old Hickory man said two people stabbed him, hit him in the head and stole his wallet early Sunday.

OLD HICKORY, TN -- An Old Hickory man said two people stabbed, beat and robbed him as he was returning from a fishing trip early Sunday morning.

The man told police he had returned to his 32nd Street home around 3 a.m. when he heard a noise in his backyard. Two men then came from out behind a shed, grabbing him from behind. He said they then hit him in the head with an unknown object, stabbed him and stole his wallet, which contained $500. The wallet was found nearby during an investigation.

The man, who was stabbed in the shoulder, is at Summit Medical Center with serious injuries.

The victim described his attackers as a black man in a yellow hoodie and a white man wearing a navy blue hoodie. He told police the pair ran towards 28th Street.

The investigation is ongoing.
