Rare Sunday Bank Robbery In Hermitage

HERMITAGE, TN -- Sunday, by virtue of the overwhelming majority of banks being closed, is generally not a big day for bank heists.

Count Sunday's hold-up in Hermitage as rara avis.

The U.S. Bank branch inside the Hermitage Kroger does, indeed, offer Sunday banking hours, a fact taken advantage of by a man who walked up to the teller Sunday afternoon and passed a note saying he was armed and demanding cash.

The teller said she could not see an actual weapon.

The man walked from the store after he got the cash.
