Stolen Guns Seized After Madison Home Invasion: Police
Metro Police say two stolen guns were recovered following an arrest of two men for a Monday home invasion in Madison.

MADISON, TN -- Metro Police say two stolen guns were recovered during the investigation of a Monday home invasion in Madison.
Around 1 a.m. Monday, two men broke into a house in the 1500 block of Ocoee Trail, stealing three cellphones, a 42-inch television, cash and a Sony PlayStation game system. Witnesses said one of the robbers shot a bullet into a sofa during the robbery. One of the victims did manage to call 911 before handing over a cell phone.
That 911 call remained active for several minutes, police said, allowing dispatchers to pinpoint the location of the robbers as they fled in a silver Nissan car and by the time the pair arrived at a Barbara Lynn Way home, police were behind them. The driver, 20-year-old Jamarius Cummins, was arrested immediately, while his passenger, 18-year-old Lorenzo Butler, made it into the home before his arrest.

Officers say they recovered the items stolen from the Ocoee Trail home and also an AR-15 reported stolen recently from an Oak Grove, Ky. gun store, an Uzi .22-caliber reported stolen in Nashville in 2015, and another pistol.
Butler and Cummins are charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. Metro Police say federal agencies are investigating the firearms aspect of the incident.
