Washington Man Drove Cross-Country With 4 Pounds Of Pot, $36,000 In Cash: Nashville Police
A 39-year-old Washington man is accused of carrying a variety of marijuana products for resale.

MADISON, TN — A Washington state man drove cross-country with four pounds of marijuana and pot derivatives and more than $36,000 in cash, according to Metro Police.
George E. Walker, 39, was stopped on Gallatin Pike Tuesday afternoon for speeding in a school zone and weaving in traffic, police say.

A search of Walker's car yielded the loose marijuana, marijuana wax and edibles. In addition, investigators say they found $36,331 in cash.
Walker, a recent Nashville arrival, is suspected of carrying the pot and cash across the country. MNPD said he was cooperative with investigators.

He is charged with possession with intent to resale and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond is set at $16,500.
