  1. The Franklin Fire Department's initial investigation is pointing towards a small explosion causing the mansion fire at Long Lane and Gosey Hill. The fire occurred at the 25-year-old mansion on Saturday. The mansion was being renovated and one of the construction workers was injured during the fire. The mansion is likely a total loss. The department will continue its investigation. (WSMV)
  2. Franklin's Pilgrimage Music Festival is family-friendly. The festival is scheduled for Sep. 24 through Sep. 25 at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm on Franklin Road. Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Jon Batiste, and The Avett Brothers are headlining the festival. There will be plenty of activities for young music fans in attendance. (AJC.com)
  3. The Franklin Fire Department will be hosting a Car Seat Checks event on Sep. 29. Families can get their car seats inspected at Franklin Fire Station No. 7 on John Fitzgerald Drive from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The department and Franklin Police Department provide car seat checks throughout the year.
