Here are the top three stories today in Franklin:
- The City of Franklin is working with local nonprofits to build affordable homes on 5th Avenue North. The Hill project will reportedly build 16 affordable housing units and 23 workforce units. Thea average home value in Williamson County is over $800,000 and these new units will be between $275,000 and $375,000. (News Channel 5 Nashville)
- The Williamson Medical Center is dressing its babies in outfits to coordinate with the Williamson County Fair. The outfits are centered around the "An All American Fair" theme. - The Williamson County Emergency Management Agency is searching for members for its new Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters group. The new group will be tasked with planning for and responding to disasters that could potentially impact the county. The state currently has 11 active disasters ongoing with 2 of them occurring in the county. The group plans to gather local organizations to fill disaster relief gaps. (Williamson Source)
