Another Massive Mixed-Use Project Planned In Cool Springs
The 54-acre Avalon Franklin development will include residential, office and retail space.

FRANKLIN, TN -- Another huge mixed-use project is coming to Cool Springs.
The Parkes Company announced plans Thursday for the 54-acre Avalon Franklin project in the northwest quadrant of the Cool Springs Boulevard-East McEwen Drive intersection. The company purchased the parcel in 2003 and originally presented a site plan in 2008, but decided to play it slow.
"We bought this land without the intention to immediately develop it," Joe Parkes told The Tennessean. "Cool Springs Boulevard and McEwen Drive weren’t even there yet. But we knew what was coming. We have sat on it for awhile."

A meeting about the project is scheduled for March 28 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the training room at Franklin City Hall.
The project is slated to include 292,840 square-feet of retail space, 72,800 square feet of restaurant space and 32,035 square-feet of office space. It will also include a theater, day care and gas station.
