Antiques At The Factory Departing The Factory

After 17 years, Franklin's Antiques At The Factory will leave its eponymous location.

FRANKLIN, TN -- Antiques at the Factory will be leaving the location that gave it its name.

Owner Chuck Gordon told WSMV that a combination of a rent hike and increased vacancy at The Factory leading to decreased foot traffic has him looking for a new home after 17 years at The Factory.

“We have seen business fall off lately. We've had places that have been empty and I have requested that we fill them up, because retail feeds on retail, and the more people that come into shop, the better we all are,” he told the station.

Recently, the owner of Saffire, a restaurant that had been a staple at The Factory, decided to close up shop, also citing decreased foot traffic.

Gordon said the owners of The Factory are allowing him to continue on a month-to-month lease until he finds a permanent location.
