Armed Ex-Con Resisted Arrest: Franklin Police
Franklin Police made a double arrest for resisting, including a convicted felon who allegedly had a gun in his waistband.

FRANKLIN, TN -- A convicted felon is back behind bars after Franklin Police said he resisted arrest while armed.
Responding to a shots-fired call on Acton Street early Tuesday, officers encountered Joseph Crawford, who police said began fighting with officers who were trying to detain him. Once he was in custody, officers located a handgun in his waistband, according to a police report. Crawford is a convicted felon.
Officers also encountered Branden Patton, who police say resisted investigating officers.

Crawford and Patton were booked into the Williamson County Jail. Crawford, charged with resisting stop, halt or frisk, and being a felon in possession of a handgun remains behind bars on a $24,000 bond. Patton is also charged with resisting and is jailed on a $6,000 bond.
